The creation of tiliwey responds to an inescapable reality: the world is faced with increasingly interconnected crises such as armed conflict, economic and health crises, and now the climate, ecological and environmental crisis - a systemic and global challenge.
In response, efforts are underway to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable development models. However, these initiatives are taking place in a profoundly unequal world. While developed countries are moving ahead with their energy transition, many countries in the Global South - particularly in Africa - are still in the process of building their primary infrastructure. Against this backdrop, there is no single, universal solution. Each region needs to tailor its response to the climate challenge according to its own economic, social and environmental realities.
It is precisely to meet these challenges that tiliway was created.
